Aw shucks.  And yes they are hard.  For a while I wondered which addiction was the less dangerous.

No one is more "in awe" than I am.  The surgeon said I should be able to lose 175 lbs.  To think... I was excited with that and the prospect of weighing 380 lbs. 

You have to wonder what he was thinking...how is it okay to be 380 lbs??? Thank God you didn't listen!

Originally I wanted a by-pass, but he didn't think I would survive the surgery.  I think he was thinking about a 2-stage DS.  He has been absolutely delighted with my progress.

WOW, you look amazing and what a great post!  Thank you for sharing.  I am approaching surgery and getting nervous, but your post made me feel a lot better.   You should be so proud of your accomplishment and seeking help for your issues isn't easy but you did it!  Congrats!

The pre-surgery emotions are only the beginning, but hang in there and take it as it comes.  Get help when you need it.  Be prepared for success.
