For the vets: 800 calories/protein

Hi all, and Merry Christmas!

 

I've seen numerous references to eating 800 calories, less than 20 carbs, 80 or more grams of protein. Can you tell me what you eat to get that much protein in and still have your calories remain that low?

I ate chicken breast, shrimp, fish, lean turkey meat, lean beef and pork cuts and green low carb veggies.  I mostly lived on this all through my weight loss phase.

Don't forget protein shakes.  2 shakes of premier protein = 60 grams of protein and 4 net carbs (or I think 10 carbs total... would have to look to confirm that).  Do 3 of them and you have met your targets easily.  I am super lazy with food, so when I don't feel like preparing anything (which is frequently) then shakes it is.

Egg whites, chicken breast, protein shakes (of the lower-carb variety) with unsweetened plain almond milk, turkey sausage.  Easy peasy.  I am currently eating around 800 calories/day now, but must increase by adding fats now that maintenance has arrived.

beef jerky is a great high protein snack , but make shore its low suger ,

 I am still losing but eat 500-800 cal 80 protein and ~30 carbs
