Is it ever ok to eat? I know the carbs and butter...... But will it make you sick?  I miss it so much.

I made some popcorn for my daughter today, and ate 5 pieces.  I felt fine.  This is the second time I have done this.  I am 5 1/2 months post VSG.

I have eaten it a couple of times, but only on days where I knew I was going to put in a hard workout.  I measured out half a serving, and that was enough.  I didn't try to eat it until around 5 and a half months out though.  I also didn't pop it...I bought a brand that was air popped so it was only 70 calories for 2 cups (half a serving).

I've eaten popcorn several times with no problems... but there in lies the problem... It is a major slider food for me.  I can eat it 'til the cows come home..... Not  a good choice!!

It is a slider food for me also, I was surprised at how much I could eat of the stuff.

I had some movie popcorn on 1/1/14, so about the 6 1/2 month mark from surgery.  Can't say the experience worked well though.  won't try that again for a while.

I had the air popped.  I have not had any problems with it.  It's a better choice than cookies for me!

Have I tried it?  Yup...and it went down just fine, a little too easy.   It's one of those foods that I can eat a lot of without feeling restriction (slider food) and it also triggers me to want more bad stuff.

As long as you chew the crap out of it and spit out the half cooked kernels you'll be fine.
