Calorie Counting

Sadly, I'm not that way at all when it comes to meals.  It's rare that I make a recipe more than once since I really love to experiment.  And the idea of having to enter in new recipes every day seems really overwhelming!  But I also don't want to give up being able to experiment with recipes.

My experience and opinion say......... you better get used to counting calories....

Maintenance....... meaning.... ah..... the rest of your life......

Is more about caloric intake vs. carbs vs. protein and veggies......

Food ratios are easy to see.....

I follow an easy 3-2-1 ratio..... my plates look like 3 parts protein. 2 parts veg and one part starch/carbs

Within that ratio I need to be aware of the calories....... caloric "content"

100 calories over your caloric "balance" everyday for a year is a 10lbs. gain.
