My husband and I both had surgery about 2 weeks apart. I'm one month out today, he is 11 days out.  Before my surgery I bought the healthiest convenience foods I could find for my extremely picky 4 year old and 1 year old because I knew it was going to be a hard couple weeks and I wanted to just survive. I bought organic chicken nuggets, fish sticks, crackers, frozen pizzas and macaroni and cheese. When I started eating soft foods one week ago my kids went absolutely crazy over the food I was eating.  So their new favorite foods are tuna fish, salmon, scrambled eggs with cheese, and refried beans with cheese, not to mention my protein shakes.  Did I mention they are picky?!! Despite introducing them to as many foods as possible at a young age they are so stinking picky it drives me nuts. I figured eventually they would start eating healthier with us as we started filling the house with healthier food choices and started setting the healthier example. But I didn't think it was going to happen so soon! It makes my heart so happy to see the sincerely ENJOYING these new healthy foods!!! So glad we chose the VSG path!!!

Don't dream it. Be it.

It sounds like you were a victim of the food industry.  They convinced you that all that processed food you were buying was actually healthy.  They lied.

However, it looks like things are better now so congrats.
