So I have done this twice now. I guess I don't learn. But on Tuesday my husband and I had to bring a friend to the Dr and by the time we were done we both were hungry so I stopped at Denny's for lunch. I order eggs, oatmeal, and yogurt. But I'm still on a full liquid diet and totally forgot and None of that is on my food list. Then we went to the mall Thursday and we were getting lunch I told my husband I needed to get soup but I smell and see the Panda express. We both order separate meals I get noodles, orange chicken and sweet bbq beef. Again nothing I can eat. We go sit down to eat and I start laughing because I realized I did it again. On the plus side all three of my older kids were excited they got Panda Express for supper that night. I'm I the only person went is dumb enough to do this not once but twice in one week.....

The mirror crack'd from side to side,
"My curse has come upon me" cried,

Lol no I can't say that I can relate. I was on clear liquids until day 11 post op and everything after that felt like baby steps foodwise. what I could/couldn't have was on my brain 24/7

Sad thing is when I was ordering from panda express I was reading the nutrition and picking the meat that had the highest protein so it was on my mind. Ugh old habits are hard to break.

The problem that I had early out was ordering WAY too much food when I was finally eating "real" food again. I'd eat 6-7 bites and then just stare at my plate like, "WHAT was I thinking??" But, then I'd have leftovers for 3 days! So, I guess it was a win in the end :)

The good news is, you feel so good that you forget you have a new sleeve, and "normal" enough you could order regular food. That's a plus.

I had a couple of "lose my mind" moments like that, only they were quantity related. Like the time I served myself a full cup of ricotta bake while still on puréeds...yeah, right! I looked at it and wondered just what in the world had happened...
