I'm still in my second week and it's going great. I'm wondering if any of you can give me a list of things you ate in the 3rd week post op? And how was your good scheduled? How much were you having?

Thank you

Congrats on making it to week 3! I was still on full liquids/pureed foods at that time. I ate a lot of scrambled eggs (was cleared to have that on day 7), greek yougurt (lately my favorite is fage with blueberry) and soup- if it was chunky, I would either strain it on puree it in the blender. Or, I would sometimes order chicken noodle soup when we went out to eat and just eat the broth. Same with french onion soup. Yum!

check out my blog!

I had a lot of greek yogourt, applesauce, puréed chili, puréed turkey soup, scrambled eggs (with milk and cheese to keep it a bit runny), protein shakes, some oatmeal or cream of wheat cereals, and soft cheese like Laughing Cow.

I was only getting in about 450-500 cals and that was pushing hard... I had been living on about 300 cals and maybe 40g of protein until my 10-day post-op appointment. At that appoinment, my nurse gave me hell for having so little, and insisted I work it up a bit more, that I wasn't getting enough calories or protein.

Make sure you get all your water first, and protein follows closely behind. Dehydration is the biggest problem early out and it's important to stay on top of that.

Wishing you luck!

I was in pureed stage then so I ate these things.  I measured out 2-3 ounces for each meal.
