I think you are referring to the VSG reboot diet someone mentioned earlier. If you search for that you will probably find it. However, I think it was the Atkins meal replacement shakes 3 times a day and the bars for snacks. I haven't tried it (still preop ) but I was a tiny bit skeptical since the post read to me like a commercial for Atkins products, but the claim is that it will restart the weightloss after a stall.

Atkins bars are too high carb for me. As a general rule of thumb, you want the grams of protein to be higher than the grams of carbs in any given food. Remember the basic rule: Protein first, always. I like the Pure Protein bars, they have about 180 calories, 20g of protein and about 18g of carbs. I know there are vets that do 20g total carbs per day, I wasn't able to do that. I generally eat about 30-40g of carbs a day while in weight loss mode. I checked out the info on the Atkins Meal Advantage Chocolate Peanut Butter bar and it has more carbs than protein. The jury is still out on whether dietary fiber is considered a carb for low carbers. If it's not, then that's 23g of carbs per bar. 3 bars a day puts you at 69g of carbs.
Not a doctor! Take what you need and leave the rest.
