For what it's worth, I am only 11 weeks out!  We'll see what I think about pizza in two more months ;)

and I agree with Shagdoll - your menus are always super appealing!

Bread surprisingly I have not missed.

Unfortunately there are many other things that I have, but really I have been able to have small portions of a lot of things or create sleeve friendly versions.

Bread, rice, and pasta - I either leave them out entirely or I've found alternatives that I like just as well, if not better.

Fried foods - Popeyes fried chicken was my go-to food.  And I haven't touched it in 3+ years and I'm not fighting any cravings for it.  The few times I've tried fried foods since surgery, it's made me feel blah - so I stay away.

I wish I didn't like fried chicken so much.  It's still one of my faves.

So much, but most of all - SODA!  I used to drink 2-4 cans of diet soda a day, and even more when I wasn't feeling well and the "bubbles" soothed my throat.  I'm just happy as a clam with my powerade zero, iced tea (unsweet, of course), and crystal light!

I also don't miss bread, rice or pasta - and that surprises me.  I do have the occasional tortilla chip and mashed potatoes, but I'm just fine without the rest.

Now pizza - I still crave it.  But I've found my VSG way around it by making Pizza Chicken.  Just pound out a chicken breast thin and top with pizza sauce, your favorite toppings, and cheese!  One breast easily make 2-3 meals for me!

That's awesome that you haven't craved soda, especially since you used to have so much of it!

I have also found myself not missing pasta.  My partner mentioned, the other day, that I hadn't made pasta in a while and I was like, "oh, yeah, I guess I haven't."  I tend to make rice for them for meals that are better with a carb, just because it's so easy to get the rice cooker going.

Surprisingly, I don't miss soda. I was a Diet Pepsi addict! I don't miss bread, pasta or rice either. I thought I would miss sweets, but, nope! I do miss pizza, though. Lol. I took my sons to pick up pizza yesterday & I think that was the first time I really felt like I missed it. I won't lie, I snatched a piece of cheese off of one of the slices just to taste it. Hoagies were a go-to food for me pre-op too... I kind of miss those. Lol. I have no desire to eat one, but I miss the taste.

My new life began on April 30th, 2014!
