Heeey that sounds good, IDK why I hadn't thought of that. I think I'm going to give it a try.

Someone commented on this way back and said you basically get a protein icicle and not what you're hoping for.

There are a few recipes online on how to create a protein fudgesicle, but they seemed like more work than they were worth IMHO.

I've never experimented with either option so only know what I've heard.

When I reach full liquids-I will make protein pudding and freeze it (used to do this trick all the time on Ideal Protein diet). It's super easy and the dark choc flavor is yummy.

Nashua Nutrition used to sell a protein ice cream that you mixed in a blender with water and froze in a pint size container-it was heavenly. Don't see that anymore :( I know amazon sells a brand but it's pretty expensive, so I would rather just freeze my protein puddings.

Here's a recipe for Chocolate fudgesicles that was in my book that my Doc & bariatric center gave me;

Use Instant-not cooked Sugar-Free Chocolate -or flavor of your choice- Jello pudding a 1 oz. box makes 6 popsicles

Add two scoops of your protein powder- unflavored or flavor of your choice-to two cups of cold skim milk

Mix protein powder with the milk by shaking or stirring

Put the Jello SF instant dry pudding mix into a bowl & add the protein powder/milk mix to the dry pudding

Stir for 2 mins.

Pour into 6 small paper cups (3 oz. pudding per cup) w/popsicle stick in center & freeze for 4 hours once frozen peel away cup

Nutrition: per 3 oz. popsicle 10 grams protein, 9 grams carbs, 7 grams sugar & 77 calories

& THIS STUFF is DREAMY & teenager approved-I had to make it a second day for my teen; I've only made it twice so far as I don't want to fall into a trap of making it or eating it too often;

Whipped Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein

1 scoop of chocolate protein powder

6 tablespoons of light cool whip

2 tablespoons of PB2 powder-I used the powder or reduced fat creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup skim milk

Start with 2 TB of PB2 or peanut butter & mix in 1/4 cup skim milk then add the 6 TB of light cool whip blend until smooth.  Add one scoop of chocolate protein powder & blend until smooth.  Freeze for 15 mins.-I froze mine for about 30 will be like ice cream

Nutrition: Calories 120 fat 2.5-depending on if you use light or regular cool whip or opt for 1% milk or if you use PB2 powder or reduced fat creamy peanut butter, carbs 9.9 grams, sugar 7.3 grams, protein 14.7 grams

I'm going to have to try your whipped choco-peanut butter protein concoction this weekend.  Sounds delish and hubby will love it!

One time I left my pack of Premier Protein in the car during the winter, and when I opened it it was all slimy and chunky.  It was terrible! The protein tends to seperate from the fluid I think, when frozen!
