Freaking myself out

So I am allowed to eat cream soups, yogurt and cottage cheese now.

I just ate some cottage cheese, 4 tablespoons.

Just after I finished,I had 5 or 6 waves of stomach pain. By the last one I had convinced myself my stomach had ruptured. Which prompted searches of "staple line rupture" and reading a million horror stories.

So now I am panicked....

It sounds like you really stretched your pouch. How did you feel after the sixth wave?

Relax and breathe. Were the waves like lurches or twitches where your stomach jerks forward really fast?

Hey Sjung! 4 table spoons is 1/4 cup, which is not bad. However, since you just moved to that stage, it may still be a little too much. Cottage cheese always sat hard on in my stomach. I have not eaten it since the mushie stage. You probably ate a little too fast and too much. Has the pain went away, or are you still hurting?? If it is constant - non stop pain, then go to the ER to be safe. If the pain has subsided, wait the 30 mins and try to drink some water and see how you feel.

I doubt you did any damage, maybe you just ate too much and/or too fast. No worries!

check out my blog!

The pain was like a localized labor contraction, but in my stomach. It has subsided now and I feel ok...I was on the verge of an anxiety attack. Not fun. No more cottage cheese...to be honest, I questioned that it would be ok. It seems too lumpy to be safe...but I'm not a doctor.

I just want to be normal....

Feeling sorry for myself again...

Do you have a portion limit right now?  Are you on soft foods or full liquids?
