Has anyone had any luck with Ins paying for protein shakes/supplement. I keep seeing adds for this.  Didn't want to give out information if a scam.

It will be interesting for me to read some of your responses, I'm curious too.  I would say ask your Surgeon, NUT or bariatric center about this.  Also ask for samples, My Doc gave me some premiere protein shakes just from me simply asking.  Mind you I didn't get many but they were FREE which is awesome.  You can do protein shakes without spending a lot of money; my powders come from Wal-mart.  Good luck.

http://www.insurenutrition.com/ you could give it a shot with this company I know of people whose insurance paid for the protein and vitamins. mine didn't I have medicaid, but if you have a limit on how much you insurance pays towards prescriptions than be careful cause they charge a lot for the vitamins to the insurance.
