Does anyone use the Viactiv chews that are 500mg Calcium and 500mg D? I have checked the stats against the Bariatric Advantage chews and they are about the same.

I am hoping to get a multivitamin w/minerals and a calcium citrate supplement that I can buy locally and not have to keep ordering.

From the Viactiv FAQ, it's calcium carbonate - we need calcium citrate.

Q. What is the source of the calcium in VIACTIV® Calcium Soft Chews?

A. Calcium carbonate.

Hehe.  It's good that you're looking into this stuff now instead of the day you need to start taking vitamins.  My understanding is that it's hard to find a calcium citrate supplement in stores, but I haven't tried very hard myself because I really like the Bariatric Advantage peanut butter chocolate chews.  I have a subscription through their website, so I get a month supply delivered to my house once a month.  And, because of the subscription, shipping is free.

Yup, Gwen answered before I could. I looked around and read the label on practically every available calcium supplement and finally decided it was easiest to go with the Bariatric Advantage because so many of the others are carbonate.

Thanks guys. My surgeon's office sells the Celebrate  .  Products. I will get a price on those to see if they sell them for the same price as I can get online. Might be just as easy to get them when I go for my follow-ups.
