Where to buy bathing suit?

I'm contemplating adding a water aerobics class to my life however this requires a bathing suit. Obv. The difficulty is that I'm very differently sized on my top half and bottom half. On the top I'm wearing men's L t-shirts but on the bottom half I'm probably a 22. I'd also rather not bare my midsection. So I'm thinking that a two piece is the best option with a long tank-type top? (I've also got large boobs, so some support would be nice.)

I don't even know where to start to buy such a thing. Lane Bryant is out since they've screwed me over recently with poor customer service.  Any ideas?

I have a beautiful swimdress in a size 14 from http://www.onestopplus.com/Plus-Size-All-Swim.aspx?DeptId=20 419 their sizes go down to a 12 and the suits are very well made.  I love my swim dress because it has the added panels in it to hold it all in.  It's also cute & not too old looking.  Their prices may be a bit steep I'm a bargain hunter but they have some really nice suits.

I recently bought a tankini from Walmart of all places. It is great quality, has a few ruffles on the top to hide the bumpy mid section and the bottom half was a separate piece obviously, so you can give a different size there. It was less than $30 for both pieces. Also, you can choice to get boy shorts, bikini bottoms or a skirt. I know Lands End has great suits, but I did not want to pay a lot considering I knew it wouldn't fit for too long.

Thanks for the advice!  I seem to forget that normal stores have plus size clothes in them :P

I'm not sure where you can buy them in the USA but my girlfriend swears by bathing suits made for aquafit.  They hold up to the chlorine better, stay in place and provide good support.  You can do a little research online.  She is plus-size so they are out there.  I guess the hesitation would be that you are dropping weight and don't want to spend a lot on something you can only wear for awhile.  You might also think about the type of suit surfers wear.  It's one piece but has the biking short type leg.  Nothing worse then doing aerobics and having your bathing suit bottom trying to climb up your back :|

Another note (if this hasn't changed) is you can order for the sears catalogue and if it doesn't fit return it.  My sister orders a bunch, tries them on and returns what she doesn't want.  Ask before you order but it might be a good way to get what you need.

As a totally unrelated side note...protect your hair if you plan on getting it wet.  Pools do awful things to hair! :D

Thanks!  I think that's actually what I ended up going with, an aquafit thing.  I'm also hoping that a two piece suit will make for easy changing as my sizes change.  I can just replace the part that needs replacing!

Good note about the hair.  I'll only be doing the class once a week, at least for now, so hopefully it'll be okay.
