So I have been on my pre-op liquid diet since Monday and I have found it pretty easy to go to lunch with friends on my lunch breaks when I am at work. I thought it would be more difficul****ching them eat some of my old favorite foods, but I had my chicken broth and I was fine. If anything they felt bad for eating in front of me. Has anyone else had an experience like this? I keep telling them to stop apologizing, but that isn't working lol

I just spent a week in San Antonio, TX for work and sat with my coworkers at every meal.  It honestly didn't bother me at all.   I made sure I drank my protein during or right before they ate.  Surgery is Monday and I'm ready!,

There are going to be a dozen to a thousand situations that will come up from here on out.....

The key is..... it doesn't matter... don't even give it a thought.

They don't feel bad for you.... they feel "respect" for you because your doing something that takes commitment & determination to improve your life !

Don't let anybody or anything get in your way !!!!

Thanks for the insight I don't plan on letting anything get in the way of what I want for myself that's not the kind of person I am.

I have a wedding to go to this afternoon and the Green family are some EATERS! I was going to leave right after the wedding so I wouldn't have to deal with the food. But the reality is that there is food everywhere. There will ALWAYS be food everywhere, so I need to man up and deal with it. Sooooo, I have my protein drink in my purse and I am ready to party!

When friends or family tell me they feel bad because I can't eat what they are eating I simply tell them.."Don't feel bad for me, this is what I chose to do for myself."
