Lactose intolerance

Ever since I was sleeved, I feel nauseous after drinking milk. That's annoying because not only is it a good source of protein, but I like it! (I know about soy/almond/hemp and all that, and those are great, but I like regular milk too!) Anyone else experience this?

I've read a number of posts here from people developing lactose intolerance post-op.  You could try out lactaid milk and see if that works for you?  Form what I understand, it tends to pass.

I have not had luck with milk after my sleeve either. I do not drink much so switching to almond, unflavored , light, has been easy for me. have your tried  no lactose milk?

Milk tastes like sugar water to me. I like unsweetened almond milk. I have no problems mixing my Unjury with almond milk. Can't drink it with milk.

Soon after my surgery I noticed that I was getting an upset stomach after drinking my protein shakes with milk.  Nurse told me to try no milk for awhile and sure enough, that was the problem.  I tried the Lactaid milk but same thing.  After 3 months, I tried the Lactaid again, still not good.  I haven't tried the soy or almond milk.  Good luck!
