I used antibacterial dial (actually a hand soap) just to be on the safe side immediately postop, but after that I just used my regular soap.  My surgeon gave me no restrictions.

I've had several abdominal surgeries and I never had an issue with soap. I use my daily Dove "Cool Moisture" soap. So I would say whatever you normally use.

The pediatrician recommended baby Phisoderm for my newborn. The adult version would be  good one -  often recommended by drs. b/c it's gentle

I was glued and discharge instruction were to not use any lotions or lotion soaps but other than that did not specify.

I think you'll be fine with what ever soap you use.  Just be gentle

I was given some Detachal medical adhesive remover from my NP.  My steri-strips stayed on until my 4 week appointment (tough buggers!).  So she took them off, and gave me that stuff to remove the adhesive.  It worked great!

What I was given were the little tubes.  She gave me 4 of them, but one did the trick.

The adhesive tends to give me a little rash.  It's so annoying trying to get that stuff off.  With the remover it came right off and I didn't aggravate any of the incisions.

My surgeon recommended nail polish remover to get rid of the gunk left on my stomach from all the tape and steri strips!

I washed with Hibiclens--same stuff used in hospitals and nursing homes.
