Today I did the 'Walk to defeat Alzheimer's.' There was a 1 and a 3 mile walk. I did the 3 mile and it was really fun. I have always wanted to do something like this but have never gotten around to it, partly because I was afraid I would get too tired to finish and I would be embarassed. I was not even that tired afterwards which is amazing. I don't even know how long I would have lasted before surgery. I had a lot of fun and plan on doing another one in a few weeks. I am amazed at how much energy I have now!

That is wonderful! I did one back in May before surgery, I huffed and puffed all the way, but I finished. My goal after surgery is to run in one, with my 2 athletic-minded children, to show them that mom can run

Awesome job! I see moore 5k's in your future! ;)

Alzheimers is VERY near and dear to my heart so I love anytime I hear people participating in an Alzheimers walk!
