Surgery is almost 1 month away and I am doing my best to hold out on buying a new pair of jeans. My favorite jeans have just about worn through in the thighs. I'm thinking, when the thighs stop rubbing out of my jeans, or at least slow down considerably, that will be a fantastic NSV!! I'm looking forward to it!

So exciting! :) I remember slowing getting rid of my clothes as I got closer to the surgery date. I was able to blog my VSG experience if you are looking for some extra encouragement! www.journeyofonederland.com

Thank you. I am reading it now! You write beautifully and I am very excited to follow your progress. We seem to have very similar mindsets and you think about a lot of the things I do, so I am very interested in reading about how you work through things.

The other day I wore a skirt to work for the first time because my thighs don't rub together and it was awesome!  Good luck!

It's really interesting to have thighs that don't touch anymore! Sometimes I will catch my reflection in a door or something as I'm walking up to it and see the gap between my thighs and wonder if it's really me! Haha! You're going to do great!

When I think of wearing a skirt, I cringe! Not because I don't like the look, but because I hate the feeling of my thighs rubbing together. I am always envious of folks that can wear a skirt and be comfy...they're like pj's, without the separation. Hell, I haven't even worn shorts in public since I was in 10th grade, because of my thighs rubbing and causing that horrible riding up thing that it does. It will be nice to be able to wear both without tugging and pulling at everything.

I wear short biking/exercise shorts under my skirts.  They're skin tight, so they prevent the whole thigh chaff issue.  And I don't need to worry about flashing anyone ;)
