How much can you eat?
I am 3 months out & usually eat about 3 oz. of a protein source (chicken, pork or steak) and maybe a couple spoons of a veggie. I would think I am about normal for how far out I am. You have to remember, you are going to have to increase your intake at some point. To me, 2 ounces per meal seems small.
About 3 oz depending on the type of protein.

I am only 4 weeks post op and I can eat about 1.5 ounces (and feel stuffed) or about 1 ounce and feel comfortable. I asked the question yesterday about how do you know when to eat more. Basically I was told if you are full, stop. If you get hungry or still feel hungry add a 1/2 ounce. If 3 ounces make you full then stop.
I am almost a year out and there is a big difference between what satisfies me and what makes me full. I think this is a big lesson to learn. We should be eating for nutrition and satisfaction -- not for fullness (this is how I got to where I was).
The holidays highlighted this point. If I was going to fill up on pecan pie -- I could eat way more than a few ounces. When I had turkey -- 2-3 oz with a few bites of sides satisfied me.
When I cook at home I make 2-3 oz of meat and maybe a half a cup or less of veggies. This satisfies me. I rarely feel full when I eat at home or work (food prepared by me). I get full when I eat out -- b/c I eat more. I don't need more but it is much easier to overdo it when a larger serving is provided.
If 2-3 oz of protein isn't satisfying you then add in some veggies.
