I NEED TO VENT ABOUT MY MIL AND DH!!!

ok, i chose to have my wls in minneapolis, where my in-laws live. i have my dh schedule my appts. with the dr. and dieticians because he has to schedule them around his work hrs. so, he made me an appt. with my surgeon for a post-op (way late 3 monther) and with my dieticians for this fri. afternoon, 10/20. dh works graveyard until 6am. on fri. we then must take our 2 dogs to the kennel and drive 5-6 hrs.(with no sleep for dh and i'm not allowed to drive on the crazy roads) to minneapolis for afternoon appts. with the dr. and dieticians. then we have to stay in mn. and visit with the in-laws until early sun. am because dh has to be back to work for graveyard at 10pm. this is all well and good but in the meantime, WE DECIDED TO GO TO AND DRIVE TO LEXINGTON!!! 9 hrs. each way and finally have some relaxing, fun time together.

we must leave wisconsin in the am of thurs., the 26th of oct. to make it. we have 3 lousy days between getting home from mn. and leaving for lex. to get prepared and again take the dogs back to the kennel. the worse part of it all and WHAT TRULY TICKS ME OFF THE MOST is that we will be going back to minneapolis for thanksgiving and my mil will be coming here to wisconsin for x-mas. SO, WHY THE HE** can't we cancel my dr.'s and dieticians' appts. on fri. and reschedule them in nov. or dec.? he had decided to treat me to lexington because i had recently complained that the only vacations we take are to visit relation or see the surgeon. he makes me want to forfeit the $170 we pd. for our lexington tickets and not go at all. this is not going to be an enjoyable experience at all anymore. i think that when i see my mil on fri., i will be awfully tempted to bop her on the head. Mardi, First of all, I want to be a fly on the wall when you bop her on her silver flat top!! lol Second of all, don't cancel Lex., you've so been looking forward too it. Can you reschedule the doctors appt for Nov. when you go for Thanksgiving? How important is it that you are already late for your 3 month appt? Will Tom let you do that? You really don't want to cancel Lex. it's going to be so much fun seeing everyone. You have your costume and everything set. I'm sorry you are going through this, I know you are frustrated. Hang in there and figure something out. If Tom decided to treat you to Lex. then he should be understanding about it. And even if he schedules the appts around his schedule, he should still get your input too. Stay away from the pots and pans until you calm down. lol BIG HUGS, Becky

that's just the WHOLE DAM*** POINT!!!! ever since we decided to go to lex., i've been begging him to reschedule my appts. he says NO. and i know that it's because of MOMMA!!!!! he called me from work and i was bawling my eyes out over it and he just won't give in. so, i'm going to wait till he's sleeping in the morning and i'm calling and cancelling the appts. and calling his MOMMA!!!!! AND TELLING HER SO. i'm telling her that i'm not going to allow her to ruin our only vacation because she needs to see her BOY!!! I AM MADDER THAN BLAZES!!! and i know that i'm not going to sleep. tom already realises that. mardi

I don't blame you for being so mad. If you cancel the appointments and call his mommy, will he be mad enough to not drive you to Lex? You said you can't drive right? Is mommy always so influental on him? That sucks! I just don't want to see you miss out on Lex. you've been so excited about it. Is he going to work tonight?

I CAN SO DRIVE!!! he says i can't handle it. yes, he works thurs. night , gets home at 6am and we get ready to leave immediately. he is the perfect husband but if momma says 'jump', he says 'how high'? mardi

i'm seriously going to tell him to cancel mn. or lex. it's his choice because i'm not doing both. and he knows that if he cancels lex., he's cut off for the rest of his life. (if you know what i mean) mardi

Well if that is the ultimatum then you know he'll choose Lex. He is a man, he's not going to give up s*x for doctors appts. or his MOMMY!!! If not, I say cancel and go without him if you can drive. Sorry you have such a crappy MIL, I can't relate because mine was wonderful. But I know a lot of people have bad ones. Momma's boys are a pain.

my step-mil is wonderful. sweet and caring. i just left a message for tom at his work. he's the boss so one of his helpers is going to be giving it to him. i said to tell him "TELL TOM THAT THERE IS NO WAY IN HE** THAT I AM GOING TO MINNEAPOLIS AND I MEAN IT!!!!"
