I'll get them done, maybe my pcp will have other alternatives to vitamin supplements.

I hate needles. I hate needles, I hate hate hate needles. and did I make it clear I HATE NEEDLES! however, I get my labwork done every 90 days for the last 4 years and now it is to the point that I am okay, I am a quick poke, and with a good phlebotomist I am in and out. my last results were 10x better than before surgery! whoohoo!  I used to be the 'bad news bears' with my results. at one point my triglycerides were so bad 150+ they said that I was practically a solid! heehee now they are under 100.. it is good news.

I dont have a problem with needles, but I know several who do (my best friend has a major problem with them). ... hmm I do wonder if my cholestrol / triglycerides have come down from their previous levels.  I had to stop taking my crestor while I am taking the pain medication for my mouth (though I've only taken one and probably didnt even need it but I wasnt sure what the pain level would have been when the numbness went away during my class). Definatly should go after work if they're open.

Oh,  I hate needle too.  For my preop,  I had to have 20 tubes of blood drawn.  10 fron my arm and 10 from the back of my hand.   I hated it, but it was done and over with so I dont have to worry about it again till after surgery.     Then to add to things,  my body stop making testerone (male hormone)  and now every 3-4 weeks I have to go in to get a shot in the butt.  My butt is sore to 2 days, it seems.    I find that getting done and over with is the best way, otherwise I can talk myself in not getting it done.

Icky Blue plate special blood work is no fun.  I might not have a problem with needles but it freeks me out to see so many little vials and trying to add them up in my head and wonder if they left enough for me to l ive on LOL. I'll go get the work done after work today.

Blood work is no fun for sure but look at all the test we had to have before the surgery and each and everyone of them may have brought us bad news.  Get the blood work done and fix whatever might be there, you didn't come all this way and go through all this to let a needle ***** and a small scolding for not taking vitamins keep you from moving forward.  MARCH MARCH LEFT RIGHT LEFT.   We're all behind you.

I was in a swimming accident when I was 10, it took 56 tries to get an iv in, so I have been a needle freak ever since I stopped taking my cholestrol meds before surgery, and my cholesterol has plummeted so I am thrilled. I went from 221 down to 175 just from surgery

I am a brick in the cholestrol department... 282 ... so it'd be nice to see it drop significantly!
