Dinner Plans in LEXINGTON!

Nannygoat, Sarah Margaret and I will be there for dinner on Friday night and Saturday. We are arriving Friday morning. As far as I know we have no plans, I'd love to meet everyone. Look us up, we'll be the loud mouth Kentuckians and Southern Ohioans. LOL.

LOL - loud mouth Kentuckians and S-Ohians?   Oh my my, sound like MY kinda people!!!!!!!   I just sent a reply to HEIDI about the Friday dinner, hope you don't mind if I cut and paste that below so you can read it too.    Yes, I'm lazy, but honest.  :) As far as Saturday's dinner at DeSha's ...I think I'll wait until we all get together Thursday and Friday, to hammer out the reservation and numbers on that one.    Rumor has it it's a GREAT spot, for the locals and tourists, so who knows, a group our size (how ever many end up going) might be IMPOSSIBLE on a weekend night.   If that's the case, we'll just come up with a Plan B as a group. Can't wait to finally meet you ALL in real space!    Here is the cut and paste on the Friday dinner plans:   Dinner on Friday sounds GREAT!    I'm thinking the SOONER the better?   The last of the breakout sessions is 5:00 (I think? gonna have to look at the schedule) ....and meeting for dinner at 5:01 might be the ticket, so we still have time to go to our rooms and change.   LOL, sorry, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT WEARING MY COSTUME TO DINNER!  :)      Ugh - it's gonna require that I hold my stomach in the entire night, and that's damn near impossible when Im eating.   I have a feeling we'll find a LOT of our fellow WLS'rs and spouses in that specific restaurant on Friday night.   Just due to logistics and time, so we might actually own the place and no reservations should be needed. Psssssst....... How cool, I didn't realize Sarah was going to be able to go????  Last post I read (a few weeks ago) she wasn't going to be able to squeeze it in.

It all sounds great. I have to confer with my roomies of course. Sarah's been havin' a ruff time of it at work, got denied for revision again, etc. She's a little homesick, so mom came to the rescue and sent her airfare. She won't get to see mom much, but she really needs the time away from Miami.

Asian wind is good!  It's kind of hard to find though...  I don't get out of class till 6:30 so I would have to meet y'all there.  You have my phone number if you get lost.  I may have to come rescue you!  It is off Harrodsburg road which is the road that goes right from the hotel (where the fountains are).  Downtown the road is called "broadway" but changes over to Harrodsburg road.  You just keep going straight about a bazillion miles and stoplights and it is on the right at Man o' War blvd.  It is tucked away in a shopping strip so you kind of have to search for it.  Girlllll you better bundle up!  The highs will only be in the mid 40's and evenings being at 32 or 28.  It is freezing here!   I won't be able to do dinner Friday or Saturday night.   I definitely want to see you on Thursday.   Hugs, Dana

Good grief, are you serious, it's already THAT COLD?!?!?   Um, I'm allergic to da' cold, and layered clothing, oh and closed shoes, while I'm expressing!     [sigh] puttin' all the cute lil itty bitty skimpy tops away, yanking out the thermal underwear, geeez! Im sooooooooooooooooo HAPPY you can join us for dinner on THURSDAY!!!!!!!!   Oh, and don't even think about changing your mind or backing out, missy, you're officially IN the count. Im going to call the restaurant tomorrow and make reservations and I'm going to make them for 7:00 pm (will that give you enough time driving from your office?)   ...there are a few from the VA Board that will be pulling into the hotel between 4 and 5, so I think it's better to err on the side of caution and bump the reservations by half an hour. I'm so glad you clarified that "Harrodsburg/Broadway" thingie.   When I pulled Mapquest, from the hotel to the restaurant, they called it Broadway, but when I pulled the map from the restaurants site, they called it Harrodsburg, had this blonde all kinds of confused. Um, by "bazillion miles and stoplights" ...lol, does that equate to FIVE miles, in NON-kentucky lingo?   I hope so, cause that's what Mapquest told me, they wouldnt lie, would they?   Ha! Can't wait, gorgeous - three days and counting.   ...and yes, I have you programmed, prolly under 911 or something like that.   You have MY number too, right? Hugs - Lei

 I can already SEE you going into PANIC mode!!!   Yes yes, I know I typed "Friday night" ...but I meant THURSDAY night for dinner, at Asian Wind.     Im juggling about a gazillion things right now (not quite the same as a bazillion, but...close!) and my mind is wrapping around too many plans and trying to finalize them all. I'll go and edit my original post to you to say THURSDAY!  :)
