Scared to Death!!!

Thanks Kathy, You are correct, my wls was to save my life this is for pure vanity and on some levels I feel like I might be angering the surgery gods asking for another easy time of it.  I am scared I might have problems or be in overwhelming pain, maybe by tomorrow I will be more calm. The bypass surgery was to save your life.  So the worry of the problems of surgery were probubly less.  This is for something else, no less important, but not to save you life.  I think that might be where this is coming from. It is scarry.  Take deep breathes, not too many, no passing out here, and relax.  You can cancel all the way up to you going under, so hold on to that.  You always have a choice and control.  Hold on to that tight, you have control. It is going to be ok and yes we understand you are scared and we are here for you, and we know you are going to look Fabulous when it is all over.

Thanks Kristi, I suffer from anxiety attacks and I was completley fine before my bypass with this I feel like I am going over the deep end.  I hope I am calm tomorrow, maybe once I sleep everything will be clear.   Hugs Heidi

Hi Heidi, I'm sorry you are having such a hard time of it tonight.  One thing that often helps people to feel more confident , and less anxious in their decisions is to do a pros and cons list.  You can also give each point a weighted value.  This may help you in solidifying (or delaying) your decision.  Good luck with whatever you decide.  I will be saying a prayer for you tonight.   Lisa

It's ok to be scared!  That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, just that you have a healthy fear of the unknown.  You'll do great.  Think about the tight, flat tummy you're going to have!!

Hiedi you need to talk to Mom, she has already been through hers so if there is anyone that should be able to give you some comfort I am sure she will be the one.  Although I do want you to know that we are all praying for a safe and speedy recovery for you and remember you already look Marvelous!!!  Next you will be the lead for the rest of us!!  Someday when I am walking in your shoes you will be able to lead me through it!!  Good luck girl.  We will talk to you soon!!

Thanks Nanny, I think while I was busy I wasnt so stressed, it wasn't until I sat down I felt like crying.  I hope it passes, I want to feel good walking into surgery, only cleaning the cat box left on my list of things to do.  lol Hugs Heidi

That is so funny that you mentioned the cat box.  Today at work we had a dessert contest.  One of the guys took a rubbermaid tub (small) filled it with grape nuts then took brownie mix, made it to look like Kitty poop individual poops and laid them in the box over the grape nuts!!  It was gross looking and people actually had the nerve to eat them!!  LOL it was really gross!!
