Hey kids I lived through my tummy tuck and neck lift.   It wasnt really alot of fun but I did it and came home last night at 11pm.  Getting my drugs from the pharmacy was the most annoying part, they kept poor doug waiting forever.  I could have left an hour earlier had they not be bozos.  The gave me valium and some pain meds but they dont make me sleepy.  I was up all night long.  I had this done at Yale and all I can say is they are the best, I used the residency program and they were awesome, from the orderlies to the nurses to my doctors, everyone was wonderful to me.  I begged for the stuff that makes you not queasy after the anestesia and I was never sick at all.  Which is a miracle.  My surgery started around 10 and finished at 6:40 pm, Doug was scared to death since I was supposed to be done at 3ish.  I dont know why it took longer but I am hoping its because they were nipping and tucking extra.  I had a lot of lipo so I am dripping like mad and I have drains in my sides and my face, I look just lovely.  One day late to scare the kiddies for halloween.  Pray it all looks good in the end, I am bloated and achy but doing okay. Love to all Hugs Heidi

Thanks Krista, I will take some pain meds and hopefully sleep once doug wakes up, I dont want to take the wrong pills and I dont want to have to get up again.  Last time I did I dripped all over the floor in the bathroom, the leakage from the lipo is less then pleasant. Hugs Heidi

Hey Beautiful. Doug sat there most of the day outside of lunch and you cant have cell phones on.  I got your message last night on my way home.  Thanks for your kind words.  I look like the bride of Frankenstein, but I am hoping and praying it turns out good.  The blood in my hair isnt cute either, ugghhhh the things we do to look good.  I can't say enough about Yale, they were awesome.  The nursing staff was top notch.  I have to write a thank you letter to them, they made my stay so easy. Hugs Heidi

God those blue eyes kill me, you are so beautiful.  Gesh girl.  Its not unbarable at all, just achy but nothing like my open rny, I keep waiting for it to really hurt and it just doesnt.  Now that I said that I probably jinxed myself.  I am not a big fan of the pain meds so I will try to take them but I wont suffer.  I know you are going next and just remember to ask for the anti queasy stuff from the anestesilogist, its a miracle.  Yup I know I murdered the spelling but you understand. Love ya Hugs Heidi

Thanks Micheal, I am just hungry, trying to figure out what to eat.  Thankfully they dont starve you like with the bypass.  It was great they allowed me to drink water after surgery.  That was the hardest part for me not being able to drink. Hugs Heidi

WOW - and you're already POSTING?  lol, you're makin' me look really bad woman, cause I know I was limpin' and gimpin' and moanin' for at least a full week before I opted to do anything for myself.   lol, yes, my husband truly is a SAINT to put up with me, I know. Glad to hear things went so well and you're feeling good, albeit a bit bloaty.    I think it took a full six months for my body to completely adjust./shift and drain the water.    How do you like the results so far?   When I woke up and realized the 10 pounds of SKIN was no longer around my mid-area, I pretty much broke down and cried.  All happy tears, of course. Powerload the protein, it'll help you with the healing and recovery.   Hugs - Lei
