Went back to work and got Sick!!!
You would think with the millions of vitamins and supplements I take and have been taking since plastic surgery I would be immune to every cold virus around. But oooh noooo I return to work on Tuesday and my co-worker has a nasty cold, so what do I wake up with this morning a d*mn cold. Ugghhhh now that sucks. I am gonna start taking Airborne this morning and see if it really does help. I sooo want to go to NYC to the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade next week and I can't go if I am sick too. Its bad enough I swell up by the end of the day so I have to be totally well rested before I go. Other then that work is fine, I started out working 4 hours the first day and about 6 yesterday, I will be staying all day today and tomorrow. The swelling is getting much better. I am wearing a long line compression garment and last night when I got home and took it off I was hardly swollen at all. I actually looked pretty good. I know I have a long ways to go with the swelling but I definately have my waist back and I look a ton better then before so even though I am not "perfect" I am feeling pretty good. Plastic surgery is just as big a miracle as wls, I can see how you can get addicted, its totally incredible to leave your house with a gross disgusting stomach and come home with it completely gone. I had no idea how having hip bones would pain me, I keep knocking these things into stuff, and forget trying to side sleep. What on earth is their use again, cuz I thought my tailbone hurt, owwwie at the hip bones. lol lol Mine were padded for so many years they have no idea what its like to be out in the open. lol I have had a very good reception to returning back to work, almost everyone said I looked great and were surprised I came back so soon. I got a chilly reception from the one person I didn't expect too, the person who had a tt last year at the same place I went. Shes barely said to words to me, when I mentioned it to someone they said she was jealous. I guess she never wore the compression garment and has absolutely no waist, she straight up and down like a boy. I of course have always been curvy, and with the compression garment on even more so. I have no idea why she would be jealous, she looks incredible but it did hurt my feelings. I always complimented everyone even at my highest weight, I was never jealous of others success or beauty. But other then that its been going well. I will post some new pics in a few days when I buy some new cute panties so I can see if I really do notice the swelling going down as my doctor predicted. Life is definately insteresting, I do get lots more attention now, which is pretty strange. But I am sure I will learn to cope.
Love to all
Hugs Heidi
Thanks Vickie,
I am no big fan of thanksgiving, its a meaningless holiday once you have no family to spend it with, so the idea of going to NYC to see the parade will be awesome. Last year I was unable to walk alot due to my arthritis, but now since my weight loss and my body feeling so much better I think I can do it. I hope so.

Good morning Heidi! I hope you're feeling a bit better today. I'm so impressed that you went back to work so soon after plastics. Boy, getting a cold after surgery sure stinks.
I'll have to remember that when I come back to work after New Years.
I'd love to go to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Well, maybe some day.
So you think that the compression garment helps with reduced swelling? Do you wear it all day and night? I just wondering. My plastic surgeon told me that he would put me in a compression garment after surgery but we didn't get into specifics for post-op at home care.
I hear you about the aching bones. I thought the tailbone thing was bad. Now the hip bones are sticking out and are so hard; and yes, they are becoming ouchy too. Wait until I have my LBL and thighplasty!
Take care and remember to take it slow at work. You're still recovering my friend! I hope I can call you that.
Hugs,
Lucy
