I heard about these on my radio station and then I found them at Walmart. And much to my surprise they are made by Frito Lay! They are chips that are healthy for you! NO, REALLY, FOR REAL!!!!!!  The vegetable flavor ones count as 1/2 serving of veggies in one serving and the fruit ones count as 1/2 serving of fruit per serving. And THEY TASTE GOOD!!!!!!!!!  I bought 2 of the 6 flavors, the cheddar cheese and the wild berry ones and both are delicious!!!!  Ok, so I am preop and want to know if these are something we could eat postop.  I hope they are, but even as a healthy snack for kids and our non surgery family members, awesome find!!!!!  They are naturally baked with no artificial flavors or preservatives.  Here is the nut facts serving size 1oz (14 crisps) calories              130 fat                     4.5  no trans fat cholesterol          0 sodium                40 potassium            100 carbs                  21 fiber                   1 sugars                 6 protein                1 ok, so definitely not a good protein source, but is it ok on the rest of the stuff to eat as a crunchy fix with nutritional value? Here is the website link...    http://www.flatearth.com/    What do you think?????  And trust me, they taste good!!!!!!

Those sound really good BUT I think they might have too many carbs in them! Maybe it'll be good for a once in awhile snack, but I wouldn't eat them too often. But if you don't have to watch your carbs, then maybe they'll work for you! I just have to watch my sugar. Good luck!!

Hi Janie! I was thinking the carbs were probably high and if they were alright for postop I know they can't be an all the time thing, but I figured for an occassional crunch fix they would be a healthier alternative.  I definitely like them for the family!!!

If you haven't found them...try soy crisps......they will offer the same crunch/salty fix and offer more protein.   These sound fine, but as I am on the quest for every more protein, I invest my eating dollar in protein rich foods if I can.   It's great tha tyou're trying things....and offering them to your family as well.    Good luck as you proceed.  Susan

The soy chips only have 70 calories, 7 grams of protein, and I think about 10 carbs.  I only find them at Publix.  They are awesome.

I can't remember if I like soy crisps or not, we use to eat them when we were on Nutri System. I know my hubby loved them.  I will have to try them again.  I'm thinking these will be a good alternative for my family, they don't get enough fruit or veggies.  I've been altering their eating habits little by little as I prepare for my surgery!   They don't like me too much most of the time for them, but some day they will thank me! lol

You are so funny sweetie!!!!  I just tried the berry ones and they are really good, not too sweet but sweet enough to kill a sweet tooth.  I kind of figured they wouldn't be the best for postop, but they will be a good alternative for my family.  I really expected them to taste crappy, but not even, they are so yummy!   Good luck on keeping them hidden!!! lol
