Hey Jewel, How are you doing?  You are so right about not finding out.  I don't dump on sugar at all and it is a battle sometimes.  I would have rather not known and stayed in fear. Jeanne

I eat the 100 calorie snack packs every once in a while, but I try NOT to eat them too frequently.  (I eat these maybe 2-3 times per month.)  I use them when I'm really craving something sweet or salty, but don't want to go overboard.  These are usually pretty processed carbs, so you're not going to get a lot of food satiation from them, but if you can limit yourself to one pouch, it may nix a craving that could otherwise lead to trouble!   Kellie

As Kellie explained, 100 calorie snack packs tend to be full of processed carbs--- consuming them can lead to cravings for more carbs soon after.  Also, the 100 calorie packs are nutritionally deficient so you won't be giving your body anything that it needs from them. Also, and this is just an aside from my own tortured co-existence with food, but when I was morbidly obese, I would look to any saving grace of the junk food I wanted to rationalize why I should consume it---- the fat-free craze gave me free reign with high-sugar (but no-fat) cookies, sugar-free foods allowed me to pack in lots of carbs while pretending to avoid processed sugars.  Of course, I was also someone who ate quarts of ice cream because I rationalized that the calcium I was getting far outweighed the calories.   Crazy thinking, I know, but the same thinking that  I still need to guard against when looking at foods that promise to be low in "net" carbs.  So, if you can avoid 100 calorie snack packs, you might be better off in the long run.

I have eaten the cracker ones in a pinch and they were ok, but I dont want to make them a habit.

You might want to eat half the pack with some protein (a small piece of LF cheese) to keep the carbs from making you hungry.  My nutritionist reminded me to always pair carbs and fat with protein.

Hello Michelle, its nice to see you :-) the 100 calorie snack packs are not for me , because they do trigger my bad eating habits. i stay away from these snacks.... if you can't do moderation, then i suggest you to stay away from them too ... i guess these 100 calorie snacks may work for some....if they have control over their eating habits....and can do the moderation thing ...........it may work for them. BUT when people get to the bottom of the bag, don't go grabbing another bag later....  you need to limit yourself to one package a day.... because ... these 100 calorie packs snacks... then becomes a bad habit and then you will want more of them everyday. and thats how some people gain weight back....FAST! just be careful with these 100 calorie snack packs. you don't want to trigger bad habits Here's a suggestion .... how about this for a good healthy snack .... cutting up some fresh strawberries and dipping them into a protein pudding :-) After having this surgery ....its all about making better healthier food choices... Chocolate muscle milk protein pudding... is to die for ...yummmmm :-) and it is PACKED with protein and the strawberries are very heathy to eat. thats my kind of snack :-) try it , maybe you will like it too  take care hugss Lizzy
