100 lbs. gone, less than 4 months out

So I stepped on my highly accurate digital industrial duty weight scale this morning and found myself at 257.5 lbs. The same very scale read 357.5 just four months ago. Apart from nearly killing myself and my liver with an ill advised night out heavy drinking last week its been a smooth ride. I am 3lbs from University weight (I graduated a decade ago), I like my face in pictures now (I have like no real family portraits though I have been married 6 years and have 2 kids so time to catch up). I bought a fleece jacket from Walmart (I know they suck but the point is I spent 20bucks instead of 150 at a fat guy store). My marital relations have umm gotten better (They say 30 lbs lost = 1 inch gained). My knees touch when I curl up in the fetal position rather than my inner thighs (a bigger deal for comfort than one would think). I can bend over forward in a chair and pick something up from the floor. We dont have to add rocks to the front of the canoe to allow my forward sitting wife to reach the water with her paddle, I dont snore anymore (I did mega before). I only lost about 15 lbs in October which feels slow but I think I am doing ok and well on my way to reaching goal somewhere around 180lbs. For those of you investigating having weight loss surgery, do yourselves a favour and do it, the results are so good, living life fat sucks ass.

Right on!

I started at the same weight as you-so I know it bites.

What a mind-bender to have lost 100 in less than 4 months though!! THAT is excellent! What really rocks is how you not only saved your own life-but your did something very selfless for your family-I am sure they LOVE it!

For me-it was sort of like going to sleep not hardly being able to move, and waking to a whole new life-it all happened in such a short time!

Congrats!
Peace,
Therese
