Hi Maryama, I bought the whole program when it was on HSN one night. They had a flex pay program and I was really feeling mucho frustrated with myself and thought I would give it a try. (The total price was like $99) Yes, the bands and DVD's were all included in the package, along with loads of other stuff, like finding out what body type you, a diet to follow, which parts of your body you want to work on in particular and how to do it. I don't believe you can get "his" program with just the bands and DVD, but I would think there has to be a good band workout program out there somewhere. Like I mentioned, I had originally bought a set at Walmart, for like $7, but the tiny pamphlet it came with was basically useless. Also, having a DVD to watch and practice with made it soooo much easier. Since others have posted that they are familiar with using these bands, maybe someone can direct you to a place that does have good instruction info. I suppose you could always look at personal trainers also, I'm sure they know how to use them right, along with physical therapists like Elizabeth, lol! Good Luck and I'll keep you posted if I come across something.

Yayaya Mary, I had just posted that I had NO clue if you could purchase these separately or not, thanks for finding it! I'm sure it's much cheaper than getting the whole program and it's funny cause this is really the only thing I use now.

Yea Carol...way to go!!! Your weight loss buddy is very proud of you!  I need to add something other than just walking.  I think I'll join you w/the resistance bands.  If we both get with it we'll meet our V.Day Goals no problem. Happy Monday Carol.  Here's to a great week for both of us!  Lisa

Hiya Lisabud and thank you!! I was going to write you later and tell you about my morning, lol! They are super awesome and I'm sure you'll love them also! Hey, if I can love doing anything that requires moving, anyone can, lol! Yes, I'm hyped about the challenge, even more now! I hope my enthusiasm is contagious and helpful. I think you are so very motivated already and know that's already been such a great help for me. Here's to the beginning of a great mini-journey for both of us, one of many, I hope. (Oh, that is water, not beer, heh)

Hey Carol, I was just wondering if you can order just the resistance bands and the CD directly from Michael Thurmond's web site without having purchased the package. I'm losing weight and I bike alot but the areas you pointed out are the ones I need to work on. Thanks a million Sandy

Hi there Sandy! Mary had asked the same question above and posted a link to get the bands separately, woohoo! Yeah, losing the weight is great, but I never thought about what was underneath the fat, lol! Getting the muscles toned makes such a difference in how clothing fits. I'm amazed in just one week how I can actually feel a muscle in my butt, lolol! It has been getting a bit flat through the years, but one of the exercises show you how to define that area between the bottom of the butt and the upper thigh, I can't wait to see how that changes in the weeks/months to come. Oops, I just checked the link above in Mary's post and wasn't able to get anywhere. Not sure if it's on my end or not. Let me know if the link works for you or not. I just went to the main site and found the part of the program you want, the body sculpting stuff, but I don't see where you can purchase it separately. I'm probably just not seeing it, but I'll do some more digging or maybe Mary will be back and let us know.

Hey Carol, Whats the chances of getting the DVD at the library? If I could do that then I would just go buy the bands. That way I could see if the DVD is something I would like.

Hiya again Sandy, That's an idea! Never dawned on me, but sure is worth seeing if they would carry it. You would probably have to check out the entire program, but no biggie, just find the "body sculpting" stuff and go from there. I'm wonder though, since the program is so "hands on", you have to take a quiz and do a ton of stuff to create your own weight loss/exercise book, if they would have it. I mean, alot of the info you have to manipulate, if that makes sense. Ebay is another great idea suggested by Anume! Heya Monica, I know not everyone wants or needs (they may be at their goal weight) the complete Body Makeover Program, but honestly, for the $99 investment, it was well worth it for myself. I needed alot of educating on my particular body type, I need to still lose 50 more pounds and it gives you carb counts and other nutritional info. (I didn't have internet access at the time or a computer for that matter) I didn't really think I'd ever have to diet again after my WLS, but it's not really dieting (unless you want to do the 6 day program to drop a dress size), it's still part of the larger picture for me, which is helping me learn what foods give me the most bang for the buck, lol, it also helped me through a plateau, which I was experiencing and jump started the weight loss again. I realize SO much of this is breaking old/bad habits and using this program along with loads of therapy is bringing things together quite nicely. At this point, I'm just so thrilled with the band results, that in itself is almost worth the money, lol! Good Luck!

Thank you for sharing, I've always wondered about those things. I'm going to have to go get Michael Thurmans (sp?) DVD's. Thank you!
