April's playboy centerfold 5'9" 127lbs?

I got my husband a subscription to playboy magazine for Valentines day.  When Aprils issue arrived the other day, I had to look at the centerfolds stats as she is the same height as I am and also of German decent.  Here they are;   5'9" weight 127 lbs  bust 37E, waist 25, hips 37!  Okay  Here is my question, is this totally unrealistic or what.  Yes,  I know playboy is airbrushed and represents a fantasy but, Even assuming she has surgical enhancements in the bust area,  I don't think I would look healthy at all if I weighed 127 pounds!  I am 188lbs and wear a size 10-12 now!  I can't imagine myself under 140.   Is there anyone else out there that is 5'9" and weighs in the 120's or 130's?

I'm 5' 2", 127 on my low days (I range from 127 to 132) and I wear a 0P.  What the h*ll size would I be if I were taller and the same weight???  Damn!  I actually find being a 0P kind of a pain because it's hard to find that size without paying through the nose.

Gee instead of degrading her because of her weight, why not get to know her as a person.  While I don't look up to her as a Playboy centerfold, I do admire her for becoming an actress and doing what she loves to do.  Did any of you bother to find out that she designs her own outfits?  No, I didn't think so. It's comments like some of the ones in this thread that irritate me the most, you don't know her so let's rag on her for being 5'9 and 127 lbs.  Who cares?

I know what you mean. It is so hard to get a fix on which weight looks good on what height. I've struggled with it for many years because so many of my female friends seem to be in such normal good physical shape (normal exercise - not gym rates) yet they seem to weigh much LESS than I would have ever guessed! I've called them on it and made them get on the scale and they're not lying! Geez! For example, a friend of mine is 3 inches shorter than me yet weighs a full 45 lbs less than I do. That's 15 lbs per inch!!! If I lost 45 lbs. to get to her height/weight ration I'd have to weigh 100 lbs. That's really, really skinny for someone who is 5'5 yet my friend doesn't look super skinny. That's the part I can't gauge. Why do some people look good at one height/weight combo and others look like skeletons!? The playmate -- at 5'9" and 127 -- sounds like a twig. I know I look great at 127 but I'm 4 inches shorter than the playmate, and at 127 I'm not what you would call skinny -- more like fitness model style with booty and boobs. But to look good in photos I'd have to weigh even less, so the playmate is probably thinner in life than she looks on the magazine pages. If I wanted to look that good in print I'd have to drop to 110 but to keep the playmates height/weight proportion I'd have to drop to 95!! Yikes -- 95? I'd look anorexic! I think Playboy is lying about either her height, weight or BOTH! It baffles me and I know why you're stumped. Frankly, I'd be happy if I could simply maintin 130 lbs. 115 seems like an eternity from here. (I weighed 150 this morning and am about to sign up for stomaphyx. ) Good luck with body image and height/weight ratios!

I'm 5'9" and the lowest I would consider weighing is 175.  I don't want to be thinner than that.  My actual goal is 185.  I arrived at that by asking my younger sister who wears a size 10-12 and is 2 inches shorter than I am what she weighs.  I added 15 pounds for the extra two inches.  While I'm sure that model looks fabulous, I wouldn't pay too much attention to what she actually weighs.  For finding a goal weight, my suggestion is to find someone that you think looks awesome and is about the same height/build as you and ask them what they weigh.  My sister wasn't at all offended when I explained my reasons, and she was actually flattered that I thought she looked amazing.

I am not one of those people that has been MO all of their lives. I have been skinny before.  I am 5'6" exactly. When I graduated high school (Like a million years ago)  I weighed 129 pounds. My measurements were 36 B- 29- 37.  I was also taller- 5'8.5".  I was told by my family doctor at that time that I was about 10 pounds underweight.  I was built like a rectangle. My best friend at the time was 5'8, weighed 132 pounds, and measured 36c-24- 36. She was built like a brick outhouse. Perfection. And it was all natural. And oh, how I lusted for her body! (Not in "I want to have sex with her" way, but in a "I would sell my soul to the Devil to have a body like that , to look like that " kind of way. We were close in height and weight, even could wear some of each others' clothes, yet were built very differently.  Every body is different. There is no way to look at someone else's measurements and/or picture and be able to determine how you would look at their weight, height, etc...Too many variables, such as race, bone structure, body fat composition/distribution, the list goes on.  As far as Miss April (Playboy), just because her measurements are listed as such, does not make it so. Very few people in the entertainment industry give out their actual measurements, height, weight, etc. They usually list (if they list at all ) what is going to make them sound/ look the best, according to what is in vogue. Or what is listed is some journalist' guestimation.  Also, Believe it or not, the camera does add pounds! Several years ago, a soap opera did some filming at Franklin College here in Indiana, where I worked security. I believe it was As the World Turns, not sure not big on soaps. I was more interested in the actual process of filming, acting, directing than what the show was. Any way, I got to meet and talk to many of the crew, director and actors. The actors/actresses were physically flawless. Perfect hair, perfect, features, perfect poreless skin, perfect bodies. But what struck me the most was how small they were.  I had seen a few episodes before, and I knew there were no fat people on the show, but in real life they were much smaller than I would have guessed. Even the older guy that played detective was more slight than what he appeared to be on t.v. I remember being shocked by how tiny this one particular blond was. She was one of the leads, and I knew she was small, but my God, when this poor girl turned sideways, it was as if she almost ceased to exist.  She was THAT tiny! The reality of her was far different than how she looked onscreen.  Also since this was a BIG BIG deal for our little college, and filming was to take place over the coarse of a few days, they went all out. Every day food was laid out for cast and crew. Coffee, juice, milk, pastries, Deli food, full coarse meals, full fat, low fat, no fat, sugar, low sugar, sugar free, low carb, no carb, anything and everything imaginable. And the only ones that ever ate at all were the director and the crew. The actors and actresses drank a TON of coffee. And they smoked alot. And they filmed from the crack of dawn until 10pm. (or later). So, don't even try to compare yourself to other people. Even if you are the exact same height, exact same weight, exact same wrist and elbow size, what looks good on them may not look good on you, and vice versa.
