tailbone pain after surgery

If you're crazy so am I!!!! I have the same trouble. I even ask my hubby how skinny people sit down. His reply was now you know why we don't sit long. I think instead of getting plastic surgery, I want to talk to the doctor about having my tailbone removed! Okay, so I know that's not practical but it sure would help when I want to rest on the couch for a one hour show and end up getting up every commerical.

I was just telling my DH the other day how uncomfortable our bed is.  Apparently it's always been that way.  I just had extra cushion and it didn't feel so bad to me!

I SOOOOO have this problem!  I bought a tush cush to take when we travel on long trips, and yes, I even carry it through security at airports! It makes sitting a bit better for awhile, but I've found adjusting positions a zillion times helps too, although not much. Standing is the best relief. I feel you pain sister!

Yeah, I can't do certain pilates moves or situps because when I do a roll or come up for a situp my tailbone hits the floor. Not fun! I went to the doctor last week about it. She said there really isn't anything they can do for it. But she did order x-rays and I'll go in next week to get the results (soonest I could get in). She said they used to brake it and re-set it with screws but that it caused more pain then if they just left it alone.  I'd be happy if they just shave it off some... I don't know if I'll be able to live with my tailbone sticking out like this for the rest of my life. I hate it! Andi

Maybe they can inject collegen in the tail bone area like they do on the ball of the feet for women who like to wear high heals??

Wow that is amazing, one question do they give you the shot in the arm or tailbone?  It really does the trick?  I don't think a pillow will help, actually it makes it worse for me.  Thanks so much for your advice.

You get the shot in your tailbone area. You can link to my recent post and I posted a thread about the shots.
