Fashionable Wet Suits or Scuba Gear for the Swimming Pool!

I have the same skin issues and spend a lot of time in and around the water. I have swim shorts and skirts but alas they are still too short. What I have found to work best (and look pretty cool if I say so myself) are tankini tops (LL Bean, Lands End) and board shorts which come past my knees. I have a pair of OP's and a pair of Hurley's hence the cool factor. They do work best with a bikini bottom under them.  My arms are still "out there", but I deal with it. zappos.com has lots of board shorts with free shipping and free returns. Give it a try!

Thank you so much!  WOW!  You are doing fantastic.  I will check out those places.  Gee, I think I'm getting a shopping rush just thinking about it, haha!! Take care, Paula

Me and my group of friends like to be as modest as we can.  Several of us us the swimming T-shirts (like the surfers use) with swimming suit bottoms, and then cover with a swimming sarang. (The wrap-around tie on skirt cover up thingie)   The nice thing about sarangs is you can get them long or short or anything in-between.  I don't know if Ron-Jon Surf Shop has a web page, but when we were in FL or Myrtle Beach, that's where I was able to purchase mine.

ok you know those swimsuit coverups...they are kinda made out of net/mesh stuff? thats what i use over a cami with built in shelf and a pair of shorts....its an illusion of sorts hides all the funky stuff lets the water flow and isnt that heavy when you get out of the pool...it works for me, plus it doenst call for a bikini wax before i go anywhere!! lol

I've heard this so may times and believe it to be true (based on my own experiences): By trying to cover arms, butt, other problem areas w/ different things, you're actually drawing attention to those actual areas. I encourage you to get a flattering tankini suit. I've purchased 2 flattering suits this past week from aerinrose.com. The most important part of a good suit is bra support, and those suits have the support.

Bra support, haha!!  I don't have anything left to support!  Thanks I will check out the website.  I just hate my arms and the smile lines under my butt.  I wish I didn't feel this way about my new bod, but it makes my 44 yr. old body look older.  I've always looked younger than my age, even before I gained all the weight. Suddenly, Carly Simon's "You're So Vain"  is playing in my head! Take care, Paula

Check h2Owear.com. Their suits are more for water EXERCISE so they offer seperates and more coverage choices. They are made of polyester and do NOT stretch, get thin or fade. I just toss mine in washer once a week. I have a couple 2 yrs old and they still look new. They do cost around $80, but it depends what you are looking for. Chlorine and sal****er will just eat up anything lycra!
