A once in a lifetime experience - this old fart modeled (LOL)

And that walk was sooooooooooooooooo long too - check some of the pics out - I would have had better ones if my DH was on the camera (lol) but boy what a wonderful surprise I had - a surprise guest nonetheless....I set out of here a bit nervous and a little sad because my Al was not with me he was in the hospital but encouraged me to keep this engagement.  I was asked last week to model at this 25 anniversary event for this store in Orange, CT.  There were models in different age groups and I got to be unique - I was the post WLS and 'ethnic' model (lol) hey, I added the ethnic piece in (smile) oh and not let me forget the age factor - this was a wonderful first time and probably last for me so although it was not real big deal, there were a lot of people even the local media and boy did they love this old fool here strutting her stuff or should I say their stuff that is now mine (lol) - I ended up having so much fun because my wonderful RN friends and husband arranged for him to get a pass and they brought him just for a bit and as I walked that long downstairs piece and up the stairs to the top where most of the people were in the area sectioned off with food and appetizers and stuff and I saw my husband I started grinning from ear to ear .... well he is back to the hospital where he is fine he just has to have his levels monitored overnight and he should be home tomorrow YAY - okay the pics are not so good but let me share....  There was a show with a belly dancer  ... we came all the way out of that back area all the way to the front and around and all the way back down a ramp and back to the back to get dressed - that was one long walk - my feet hurt in those heels (lol) ...here is the belly dancer of sorts   SOME OF THE MODELS AND OTHER MODELS AND THEN YOUR O.H. FRIEND YOURS TRULY MARTITALINDA AND MARTITA AGAIN... AND MARTITA AGAIN...   AND WHEN I SAW MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND LOOKING PITIFUL WITH HIS IV AND PRIVATE NURSE I CHEESED FROM EAR TO EAR - I LOVE THAT MAN YOU HEAR (LOL) TOOK ME YEARS TO FIGURE IT OUT lol I should get better pics from the photographer at the store - these were snapshots someone took as we walked in.  Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooo much for allowing me to share and surprise surprise we all 14 models and I was #14 were handed an envelope with ($$$$.$$) YAY and the clothes we wore and 50% off accessories - now I was sooooooooooo tickled.  I am going to rub down my mules (they hurt with all that walking) and I am running off to the hospital to visit my mate.  Tonight I will spend on OH reading all the wonderful, inspiring, informational, posts of my most wonderful cyberfamily I LOVE YOU ALL.  Hey this was no fashion show to write home about - but imagine they asked ME - do you guys realize that for over 25 years nobody ever ever asked MEEEE?????????  LOVE YOU ALL!!! AND THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT ON MY EARLIER POST!!!!
