above ground pool
I just recently sold my 18ft pool & had a 26 ft one installed. The pool company upgraded my steps for free. My steps look just like the ones that are in inground pools, they are wide & there is a handle that goes all the way down to the last step in the water. Go back to where you purchased the pool & talk to them. Most companies will take back the steps & let you upgrade. They might charge you for it. Please if you have a deck put around your pool, don't try to get in by sitting on the side. When my pool was installed, we had to rebuild some of my deck, we put the ladder securely on the ground & built the deck around it.
Thanks for the picture of the stairs. I will call the pool outlet where I purchased the pool, and see if they can give me a deal on something like that. My brother-in-law came over to take a look at the pool. He is going to build me a redwood deck with stairs. I think that this will all come together. Thanks bunches!!!!!

My m & d got steps last year or the year before. They remind me of the steps for an inground pool. They are a bit on the expensive side, but it you have the money for the pool....a few bucks more won't hurt your wallet. Especially if it helps your knees!! My mom has bad knees, she loves the new steps! It also makes getting in slow, very easy! Ya know, when the water is cold! You can just "walk" down the steps at your own pace!! WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

There are never any problems, only solutions. quoted by a dear and special friend!!!

I have an inground pool myself but my neighbors bought an above ground pool last year and they built a wooden deck next to it that has steps that they climb up and then you could just jump right in but the only way out is to use the stairs inside the pool I'm sure. Swimming is alot of fun and great exercise, I go almost everday now and exercise for about 30 minutes in the pool.
