Watcha Eating Today Early Outs?
Hello early outs. Haven't posted in a while. Been pretty sick. Had my lap rny on 5/28. Did well with all that. But prior to that had root canal on 5/1 and had antibiotics, also had them for wls. Did not have yogurt to compensate for all the bacteria being zapped, so ended up getting a BAD bacterial infec. called C-difficle. I started having diarrhea on 6/14 and off and on since then. My sugreon said he thought I had the flu. After a week of diarrhea and weekness I went to my pcp Dr. and they did blood work and stool culture. That's when I finally was put on Flagl antib. It took a month of having this going on so the bacteria level must have been pretty bad. After 10 days on antib. I thought I'd be ok but symptoms came back. They did more blood work and a ct scan and all was ok. They put me on a second round of Flagl antib. Yuk that stuff is NASTY. I only have 2 more days worth left. They say that if that does not work I'll have to go to a Gastro internologist. My energy level is still poor and still have some loose stool . I'm really worried because this wed. I have my sister and 2 friends coming in from Fl . And we are going to Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg Tn. I'm going to take plenty of imodium!!! Make sure you eat yogurt or take probiotics when you are on antibiotics. Also Take clorox wipes if your to be in hosp. or hotels and wipe everything down. C-diff is rampant in hospital. Don't wish this on anyone.
Breakfast: eas protein drink. Lunch: Carb masters yogurt and 4 slices of shaved turkey breast. Dinner: Chicken breast 3 oz. topped with salsa a sprinkle of mozz. cheese. Hi Michele, don't feel like you are ranting please come here and share often. I am so sorry for all that you have been through it sounds like a real nightmare. I am glad to hear you are home and can get to some serious feeling better. Looks like you are doing a great job on your food. Protein is up that is great. Hopefully you will have returned energy shortly. Keep us updated on how you are doing. Gina : )
I am so sorry you are dealing with all fo this so soon after your surgery. My second job is in the hospital, and you are right on with C-diff...it is easy to re-infect yourself with it, and cross contaminate (spelling sorry)....So you using clorox is great, also until you are completely better don't use hand towels after washing your hands use paper towels. Often c-diff takes several rounds of antibiotics to knock it out, so I hope your second round does it for you!!! Keep us posted, I hope it is knocked out and you are having a BLAST in G-burg soon!!!
Also a side note....you had your surgery about 3 weeks after I did, I just got my energy back and strong about 2 weeks ago, so maybe your burst of energy is coming soon???? I know we are all different, but let's hope your energy is back and strong soon!!!

B-beef jerky
L-triscuits with cheese (ate too fast it came back up)
D-1/2 turkey and cheese quesadilla & a skinny cow (probably shoud've only had 1/2, but I did ok)
S-2 sf popsicles
Felt a lot like grazing today. Now that I feel better since surgery I need to start focusing on planning my meals more careful.

Today I worked at my second job....I was glad to be back! It allows me to splurge on things I want without feeling guilty (if I want to buy something or do something for me....I am like I work two jobs I deserve it
....it is usually small things, getting my hair did, pedicure, a piece of new clothing)....anyway today's food
Breakfast- 1/2 cup protein icecream (23 grams)
Lunch- 2-1/2 oz of rotisserie chicken breast
Dinner- 1-1/2 oz of tuna with a little light mayo & mustard, 2 crackers, 1 bite of salad
Now- protein icecream....Need a little more protein, my TOM decided to visit today, so I am trying to one up it and keep up on my protein!!!
