Flintstone vitamins

Quite frankly, I can't imagine a PCP recommending Flintstones to a normal ADULT patient.  It mystifies me why a PCP OR surgeon would recommend just a children's vitamin to someone with 'designer intestines' CREATED specifically to aid in malabsorption (past 6 weeks post-op).

BTW those of us who 'hear' and appreciate what information Andrea puts out regarding vitamins, don't qualify as 'sheeple'.  Sheeple are people that follow blindly and never question their leaders.  Kind of like believing your surgeon or PCP knows EVERYTHING, is a God, and therefore couldn't possibly be giving misinformation.  Most of us who take an interest in what Andrea, MM, Jupiter and many, many of the other veterans say have listened, done our OWN research and simply agree because we don't follow anyone blindly.

He said each day's a gift and not a given right
Leave no stone unturned, leave your fears behind

I need a chewable vitamin.  What I was very happy to find out is that there are lots of chewables formulated for grownups.   I found an excellent one at GNC that has mega doses of everything I need and costs little more than a bottle of kids vitamins.

Why take a vitamin for children when there are chewables made for adults.

That was what it came down to for me.  So, I went and found one formulated for adults and it is working out very well.

I also found some nice liquid B12 that I take sublingually too.  I have been doing that from day 1.

I don't mind the calcium citrate horse pills, so I take those instead of chewable.

I take about 1200 mg a day, which is 4 capsules.

That is my regime.  Hope this helps.

OK here's how I do it and my labs are perfect so far.

I take 2 flintstone along with SL B12, B1, Biotin, and 1200mg of Calcium Citrate. I also take 5 hr energy shots while driving. I will be going to Kirkland Signature Multivitamin when my Flintstones run out just because there cheaper.  Read the labels and look to see what's in your multivitamin your taking.. So far my labs are perfect so there you go.  No multivitamin is good by themselves you have to supplement with others. Check with your NUT or DOC with what ever vitamin regiment you decide to go with.  Good luck to ya

Robert

What kind of B12 do you take?

I have liquid that I use with a dropper, but I have heard that there are good meltable tabs too.

what do you use?

You can take more to get more of the nutrients they don't have but you can't take more and get nutrients they don't have. That's why you read the label and make sure they have the major vitamins and aren't missing anything you particularly need based on your labs.
