I eat the Pure Protein bars, the smaller ones, and I get them at Walmart too.  I only like 2 of the kinds, the Chocolate Deluxe, and the Choc/Peanut Butter.  There are 2 kinds of pb ones, the PB deluxe ones suck, make sure it is Choc/PB!!
My Walmart sells some of them individually and some in boxes of 6. I think the boxes of 6 are around $6.

I'll share with you the BEST protein bar though...
http://www.comfortbar.com/flavors.html   I had a hard time finding them, but they are the BOMB!!!! They don't taste proteiny at all and they are made with Agave so the sugars are all natural.  Eggy and I love them and use to fight over the ones in the local store here (it is closer to her than me, but I just found one closer to me now ~ woo hoo!!!!) I looked at the locations and it does list Washington, don't know if any are close to you. I do know that their list of locations for here isn't very accurate, so call a place first to make sure they have them. I just looked at the online ordering thing and they cost way more that way, so I hope they have some near you! They are a bit more expensive, but WAY WORTH it!!!!!
Hope you didn't dump sweetie!!!   bigg huggs, Becky

You guys on here are so BAD.  I'm always having to try stuff that is mentioned here.  Just my luck they don't sell them in Tucson, but do in Phoenix.  I'll have to see if someone can buy me some and send them to me.  Right now I am trying the CLICK, finally.  I was never much of a coffee drinker but I miss my one cup occasionally.  This will help my craving.

I got a little gassy, but didn't dump at all.  PHEW!

I'll be checking it out to see if I can find them around here.  I have been paying $3 a bar at GNC but it is only the occasional snack to try them.  Not really interested in paying that much on a regular basis though.  But then again, if I can get that much protein in, $3 might be worth it... guess it comes down to taste too... so many factors. LOL

Thanks for sharing the info!  Glad you and Eggy don't have to fight over them anymore. LOL

Just a reminder, your body can only process 24 grms of protein an hour, the rest is flushed out of your body.

I have heard that before, but with other random numbers and have also heard professionals say that it isn't true.... its hard to know what to believe.

At any rate, I can't eat the whole thing at one time anyway, so I'm not flushing it down the toilet, so to speak. LOL

Wait a sec. If this is true I need to split my morning smootie in two. Does anyone else have any info on this. Please post.

Although this is commonly found in both lay and some professional reports, there is no scientific basis for this claim”.

This is from an article that Andrea from the R&R forum posted that has lots of good information about vitamin requirements.

The Pure protein bars I have been eating have 20g of protein and are no problem for me at all......Peanut Butter Chocolate is my favorite.

Work like you don't need the money......

I'm not sure why I bother shopping at GNC sometimes... I should just go to walmart and have a look around. LOL

GNC does have some fairly tolerable Omega 3 chews that are a little like soft starburst (and they taste a little off... but not bad.)
