ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!  No way!!

Oh, did I mention I have only been on it for one day and am not sure I will survive until October 31.

I considered licking the spoon I used to feed the cats their Fancy Feast Medley White Meat Chicken and Egg Soufflé.

I am soooooo hungry.  I can certainly relate to cheating, although I am praying I can remain strong (and not so grouchy as I have been today).

Hang in there.

God Bless,

Kathi

The only person who will be affected by cheating is yourself.
Possibly your liver will not shrink to proper size, you may cayse added complications by cheating. I did not cheat at all and still had complications and ended up having open. If the doctor says broth, then broth it is. They have us do this for a reason. If we can not be compliant with this small step directly prior to surgery then how will we be compliant with surgery ? My friend cheated and her liver was not shrunk. The doctor could of done a open procedure, but he opted to close her back up and he also discharged her as a patient. He then reported to the insurance company that she was non compliant which in turn has made her insurance company require 1 year of supervised weight loss now before she is elgible for approval again.

I heard stories of Livers not being properly shrunk ( the reason for the diet in the first place) and the surgeon ended up either having complications or the Liver was accidentally cut with an instrument and caused major problems. I was on the stuff for 8 weeks....and lost 40lbs before surgery. I know it's rough....drinking nothing but those shakes for 8 weeks sucked....but I knew it was my life on the line so I basically stuck to it. Don't risk your life for meals of burgers and fries.
