Icky question, 7wks post op.... are you satisfied?
Since a few of you expressed this - and I've only been constipated since I had plastic surgery a few weeks ago and the pain meds are messing with me - I have not been constipated one day since my WLS because of one simple thing - beans.....I eat beans and whole grains everyday - in the early weeks/months - it was refried beans - once I was able to toerate them - whole beans in things like chili and lentil stew etc. - I eat beans everyday - I've not been anemic (again - only since I had plastics and thats because I lost a lot of blood during the procedure) and I run no nutrient deficiencies except biotin and Vit D. I'm miserable for the last few days so if this was a permanent feature of life postop I would hate it - that being said - beans beans beans...and oddly - preop - beans used to make me unbelievably gassy and uncomfortable - and postop - not.....not at all in fact....Susan

Hate to ruin your theory, but I eat beans ALMOST every day myself (in my homemade turkey chili), and I also suffer from the constipation monster. LOL

Hey Girl, I remember feeling the same way. But remember, you are not taking in as much as you used to. So there is less to come out. Also, I think being "regular" might be a thing of the past... there is nothing too regular about our new anatomy. I remember feeling a bit consitpated at times but more water usually helped and sometimes some oatmeal. It all works out though. And now I go probably several times a day in small amts as it goes through the system I guess. And it's unpredictable so my 2 cents is to just go with the flow. Take it easy, don't worry, and just do one day at a time -- let it be what it is. Be happy!!! Love ya!!!

Hey, think about going to the OH San Ramon event! Check it out. I already bought my ticket - with the discount code you can get it for a percent off. It's just one day and pretty close to you so it might be a good day trip for you to take, AND we could meet in person!!!
