It just depends on how things are cooked.  Maybe we should see how you do. when dad is in charge.     James loves spicey stuff, I love stuff seasoned well, whether it
's spicey or not, Good luck honey!

Milk unless it is soy milk.  Bacon -- feel like I am going to die.  Greasy foods do not sit well.  Rich foods.

I'm almost 11 months out from my DS. So far, I am okay with everything I've tried. I will say that pasta and rice do their carb job and fill me up quick, so I make sure I eat the protein on my plate first!

I had a SIP of my sister's fruity margarita a few months ago and I felt drunk as a skunk for about 5-10 minutes. Total lightweight. I have not really been a drinker for the last 15 years, so that's no biggee, but it was surprising.

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!

I am a little over 6 mos post op with the sleeve and have no problems with any food in particular.  With Some of the denser meats such as beef and some chicken I get full faster than wtih things like fish and shrimp but that is to be expected. I do not eat much bread or rice or pasta mostly because I do not like or miss them much anyway and would rather concentrate on protein. I eat fruit with no problems. I was never much of a veggie eater so do not each much of those post op either though I do like canned beets and eat those.
Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?

Broccoli is not my friend. I've tried it plain steamed and in a salad. Both times were bad. I've just decided to leave it alone. A pity, because it was on of my favorites, pre-op.

Just over a month post-op from my VSG. So far the only things that make me feel physically ill are bacon (even the tiniest morsels), and corn chips. The latter I think was a guilt trip. My 'princess' (yes, I named my sleeve) was quite unhappy with me.

I'm still experimenting with other healthy foods, and so far so good!

Pasta and rice are the two biggest culprits. Some tomato sauces. Dense meats tend to sit heavy.

I wish I could not eat ice cream cookies etc but I don't dump on those. Anything bad I could probably eat.

Ground beef/urkey -- good.

Pasta, in a very small amount --OK. But I've only tried it once.

Rice, in any amount -- bad.

Chicken, except in soup -- very bad. Probably my worst offender. I can even tolerate small peices of steak better.

Thin-sliced deli meats -- surprisingly bad.

Bread -- not great. I can do one slice, toasted, althugh I've only tried it twice, and probably won't again for a while, because I've gotten bloated.

It's funny, only after a year out did things start to sit "wrong" with me. Anything fried/really high in fat, in the least bit, usually sends me down a painful road. Also, tons of sugar alcohol; that stuff hates me. Real sugar is OK up to about 10-12. After that, death.
