As sad as this is this was more a medical decision than anything else. You would have risked your own life and subsequentially the life of that baby and not to mention what would have happened to your other four children? They need you to continue down a path of getting healthier and stronger so that you can continue to be their Mommy. Please remember that when you get those moments of sadness.Do let yourself have them and then remember that you did what was the best thing for your family and yourself. Your weren't selfish at all. Don't beat yourself up over it.

Its going to be ok...You have to take care of yourself and your four ...You were very courageous...Valueing what you already have is really iprotant and I really do understand your decision...
Please don't beat yourself up over it...It is so sad...but these days we have all got to take care of so much... put the energy into loving those kids you have and yourself.
When the sadness passes you can put that energy back into the ife you have and doing it well...

It's ok... i wish I could hug and cry with you... but  it is ok...

It's so sad that you had to make such a tough decision so soon after your surgery. Based on your cir****tances, though, it sounds like you made the right decision for yourself and your children. Time will heal this and remember to take care of yourself first. Your children depend on you and if you're not well mentally, physically, etc they will be deprived of that aspect of you. Since you made the choice to have WLS, you are working on becoming a healthier you already, so try to remember that when things get tough. Hugs to you.

So wise and brave of you to share this with us.  Just wanted to drop a note and let you know I understand and applaud you taking control of another aspect of your life!  It's painful, but I once heard this maximum for decisions:  Short term gain is often long term pain.  Short term pain can bring long term gain.

If you don't like your life, change the way you're living

Hello sweetie,  first of all no judgment here because I am not God and wouldn't like to be either.  Although I do not personally believe in abortions you can not beat yourself up because what is done is done.  You can not change the past..  I was face with that difficult decision almost three years ago but i chose to keep the baby(I am known as a risk taker)  The doctor told me by me  being so close to 35 yrs old , morbidly obese , diabetic with hypertension and sleep apnea that their could be major complications including death of myself and the child.  Well we are both here and he is healthy.  Also are you doing anything to prevent another pregnancy because it is known that pregnancy can easily occur right after an abortion.  This happened to my sons girlfriend and about a month later she was pregnant again,  this one she kept.  So instead of putting yourself through that again try and prevent it. I hope I was not too harsh just trying to give advice and encouragement all in one breath.  Brighter days are coming!!!

Priscilla,

We all do the best that we can do every day. That's all we can do. Some days are a whole lot easier than others. You had a tough decision to make that required a lot of strength and now it's a new day. Sending peace, love, and good vibes.
