Is there a thread on this site for folks that are serious about losing weight?

Hey girlfriend....I saw this post by you and it immediately brought to mind something that has been floating around the internet for sometime.  It is totally off topic and has nothing to do with anything....but as Andy Rooney says....

For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?', here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

Hugs from the beach

*SNORT*

Well, I have been using the "why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free" statement lately.

Moo.

BTW - love the hair.

No - they are building a huuuuuge movie studio here:

http://plymouthrockstudios.com/home.html

A world-class, state-of-the-art, user and eco-friendly facility providing an unmatched level of service to members of the arts and entertainment community.

Located on 240 acres in Plymouth, Massachusetts presently known as Waverly Oaks Golf Course, Plymouth Rock Studios will be the largest film and television studio complex in the Northeastern United States. It will be the first LEED® certified studio in the world, and the first built with a smart technology infrastructure. The studio will be the East Coast’s first independent full service production facility and the first movie studio in the world to be all union built.

Cool!

Maybe they need engineers.

Or maybe I can open up a string of Botox storefronts in the area.  Hummm.

To be perfectly honest?  Yeah.  I do.  Butter, bacon, sausage, meats, cheese...

Many of us are protein and fat friendly.

That's not to say I would be making the sausage torpedo- however - but for as much of it as I could put back?  It's solid protein and fat.  I eat tons of solid protein + fat.

It's worked.

What does not work for me?  CARBOHYDRATES.  They kill me (literally, you don't think I am serious?  One half potato and my blood sugar goes to 35) and make me fat.

If I skip out on carbs and eat lotsa protein and fat - I get skinny.

When I add carbs - gain city.

I am five years out - and I went from 320 to 149 lbs at my lowest.  I have had several small regains, always attributed to carb eating.

I am currently pushing 159 with a carby regain and seizure med change.

Bring on the gorgonzola.

Are you kidding?  We were talking about getting my hubby (the midwest smoker studmuffin)  to make it and bring it to the DS get-together in the springtime.
