Open Letter to Obesity
Awesome awesome letter. I've written similar letters to my "Compulsive Overeater". Each time I tell it "NO" it becomes weaker and weaker. It still can be a might force telling me to eat past the point of hunger, to eat and munch my way through the day to make work easier, and is good at convincing me I will feel so much anxiety, if I don't eat, I'll go crazy. Well, I haven't gone crazy, but I've had to sit with uncomfortable emotions and learn how to have them without freaking out.
I am scheduled for surgery on May 27 so I am getting the tool to put this baby to bed too. I too look forward to seeing the syringes, the insulin, and the pills go away. What overeating helped me get through as a kid, just isn't needed anymore. Bye Bye!!
Good luck to you! Please keep us posted.
