I also enjoyed reading you letter to obesity.  I had the RNY surgery September 2006 and my son who is now 21 had the RNY surgery at 18 after his first year of college in May 2006.  He also dealt with obesity through middle and high school.  He was a straight A student and had tons of friends.  He was blessed not be to be the fat kid with no friends.  But I knew he was unhappy with his weight and he would go on every crazy diet I went on.  I am happy to say his has lost over 260 pounds (which means he was well over 400 pounds).  He has gone from a size 6X to a size 2X that I think are kind of big on him but that is how young people wear the clothes.  I see your surgery date is coming at the end of month and I want to wish you much success and I pray that everything goes as plan.  I'm glad you know that this is just a tool and not a magic procedure because it still will mean some work on your part.  A lot of people are on this site talking about a revision because the first one didn't work.  I say to that they didn't do the work the surgery needed them to do.  This surgery does not change the reason why we want to eat, bored, emotional, etc. so you will still need to keep that in check.  Exercise is a must!  Please post something after your surgery to let us know how you are doing.  Take care and God bless.

Wow Juice !~
What a heartfelt focus on what most of us have all thought, but not been able to really get it out, or written down! ~
Everything you have written will be so worthwhile to look at as inspirational reminders as to where you came from, and road map to where you are going! ~

I'm excited for you! ~ and congratulations! ~
