Open Letter to Obesity

This is a beautiful and heartfelt good riddance letter.

You certainly have a gift that is well worth doing more with. You have a talent for words and also for allowing people to live through your thoughts.

I can certainly relate to the shots....I was on 5 daily and still out of control. I went on the pump and had to take U500 insulin instead of the normal U100. I was still out of control. When my wls doctor told me I would be off insulin in 9 months I thought he was nuts for sure. I took my last oral med for the diabetes 1 month before surgery and the last use of my insulin pump was 1 week before surgery and I have never looked back......by the grace of God.

BTW~my A1C is now 4.9!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

This is just Awesome!  Congrats on kicking your old friends to the curb, every journey is started with just one step, and your first one should be to literally kick your friends while you have them down, they deserver it, they were b*tches anyway.  lol lol

Keep up the good work.

Juice,
You Rock!  You've said what most, if not all of us feel/felt.  You have a gift of putting down into words your thoughts.  Thank you.
I finally see my surgeon on 4-22 so I'll be thinking of you the end of the month and sending up prayers.
God Bless You and give you an easy recovery.

hey juice. i usually hang out in the rny or ontario boards, so i saw this xposted and read it.  it is a truly inspired peice of writing. i am actually sitting here in tears. not just for myself, but for that 10 year old boy that could not have a uniform and play ball cause he was too big.  i have a 9 year old son who weighs 105lbs.  he is pretty solid, but has quite the belly on him.  i am always aware of his eating, and have him in sports all the time, i am just so scared of this happening to him, i will not let it damn it!!! ANYWAY......i just wanted to thankyou for putting these words out there. you without knowing it helped me to let out some of the emotion i have about my son.  thankyou good luck!!

Wow, Juice! I'm at the very beginning of my jouney, but even 2 months into my pre-op diet I can truly use this inspiration! Thank you so much! I think I'm gonna write my own Devils their very own letter, give them fair warning to get out now before I kick their backsides!

I pray you'll have a smooth surgery, fast recovery and more successful journey!

Wow! That was an amazing letter you wrote! EXACTLY how I've felt all my years as well. I agree with others and think you should get that published! I am at the beginning of my journey and hope to kick obesity to the curb too!! (I'm still fighting insurance for my VSG surgery) I appreciate you sharing this for all of us too!
