Abortion after GBS
No, I haven't, but whatever your reasons for asking, I wish you well. I don't think too many will post. As you said, this is a very personal issue for many. I know as far as pregnancy is concerned, my surgeon's office wanted to be sure I was done having kids, using protection, or promised to wait for a couple years...even better, when I reached goal. Again, good luck with your research. Hope things are OK.
I too dont think anyone will chime in on this....its far too emotionally charged to allow people to admit to such a judged act.
To be honest, I have often thought about it myself. Im currently waiting to find out if Im pregnant, but also discovered some swollen lypmh nodes around my neck and in my groin. I also have some elevated liver enzymes with no history of infections or transfusions. So, if my levels arnt down soon, Im looking at a liver biopsy and who knows what else after that....since the these two things together could be a bad prognosis. Anywho, I may be facing this choice too.....I wish you the best! And if you need to chat, please feel free to PM me.
i did this oh search for you "pregnancy"...maybe it will help

I don't know whether you are writing out of curiosity, or because of a personal situation for either yourself or someone you know. But the definitive answer is ...
It depends.
If someone has told a recent-RNYer that she needs to abort her baby ... I would be astonished. In general, doctors might make a suggestion or a reccomendation, but I have not heard of any ethical physician saying a person HAD to have an abortion for any reason. Even when the mother's life is endangered, normally the physician will present the information and give parents resources, like genetic counseling (even when the problem is not genetic).
