Thankfully my daughter has some good habits, she will snack on fruits and veggies, we don't have soda around all the time and she likes to be active.
Good luck to you!

I told my husband from the beginning that the first few weeks after my surgery he would be in charge of dinners. At about 2 weeks out I felt ready to cook dinners again. They eat what I eat. I cooked pretty healthy before my surgery so it is no different now. Once in a while I make something I cannot eat but I will just find something else to eat.
Day three of liquids pre surgery my husband showed up with a pizza. That was reallly the only time I had a problem.. Once I was back on to solids after about week 3 or 4 I ate similar type items we ate before, just leaner or lower fat versions. I cook every night now just like I did before, just don't eat the bread or the rice. The family eats what I cook or they cook their own. (It doesn't happen often). Simple enough. My husband has managed to lose about 15 pounds since my surgery and we both run together now. I still eat good food, just not as much of it.

I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date. Current as of November 1, 2009
