Lap Band or Gastric Bypass

 My surgeon told me that the Lap Band has a high failure rate.  I know my surgeon personally on a social level and this is what he has found in his practice.

Please read this article.  It suggests that a VSG or a refined DS is going to become the standard for WLS.  Good luck on your journey!

I too wanted to lose 150 lbs. I thought about the lap band until the doc told me to do the bypass. in the end it's your decision. i went with the lapband in the end. for me it will be 1 month on the 22nd of july and so far i've lost 20lbs and about 15 inches total. You have to very strict with yourself with the band.
