test some protein shakes

I have heard some people state that they went to GNC and has sampled some protein shake at the store.  I went to one store and they didn't do that.  Is it only some store that do that?  If so, how can I tell which store does?

Hmmm... this is the first I've heard of such a thing.  I go to several GNC stores in our area and have never seen any samples available.

I suppose you could call individual stores in your area and ask them if they have samples available.

I've read about this also...but our stores here don't do that.  Sometimes they have sample size packs of the GNC brand protein that you can BUY and try at home.  But that is rare also...you're best bet is to buy some samples online and try them.

It's a random thing at GNC here... but you CAN buy a jug or protein powder from GNC and return it if you don't like it.

You're better off ordering samples and then buying the big just at GNC if you find one you like that they carry.

I would mention you need samples at your local support group.  I'm sure many people would be open to giving you 1-2oz of their favorite protein powder to try.

The protien they sample is Max protien powder and only the independently owned GNC stores carry it. I have to drive 1 hour to a GNC store to buy Max protein but its worth the drive.

I'd try and call the company directly and see who carries it in your area: call 1-800-808-8800 or 305-635-6220.

I ordered the chike samples, they are free, all you do is pay for shipping, $3 I think it was. They sent me a 1/2 serving of 5 different flavours. They are really good, but I think the big containers are a bit too expensive for my pocket. A 3lb tub is $45.50.
Why don't you try the samples, and then see for yourself. I think you just might like them, Diane

Thanks everyone for your answers!  I have gotten some samples of things, but what I hear a lot is that your taste changes after the surgery.  So what I like now, I might not like later.  So I am tryin  not to buy any big tubs of protein drinks.  I have looked at several sites, but either they are very expensive or the shipping is ridiculous.
